Bobby

Bobby started his music career at church with his extended family.

Learning to read music and play various horns, i was influenced vocally by my Aunt who showed me how to control my voice. I started playing guitar at a young age. In my first successful band I was the lead vocalist and toured the midwest opening for some major acts. Through my musical career I played the Holiday Inn circuit for 8 years. I played bass guitar in house bands around Indianapolis for 10 years. Then formed Band X for 10 years before moving full time to Spring Hill Florida where I started playing solo shows on guitar. Then was asked to join Suncoast Blvd Band on guitar and lead vocals with Jerry on the drums. After hearing Michael play and sing at a birthday party I asked to be hooked up to play music with him. Jerry and myself were fresh out of the Suncoast Blvd. With Michael, We were thrown together to cover a show and decided this could work out. We jokingly called ourselves the Stragglers and it stuck. We are now aquiring a following around Citrus, Hernando, Pasco and Sumpter Counties. I still do solo gigs on guitar and play bass with the Stragglers. I feel blessed to be where i am, playing music with two great players he calls friends.

Jerry

Jerry started playing when his best friend encouraged him to play drums and sing.

I began playing the typical Jr.High / High school gigs and later moving into the busy bar scene. I joined the Musicians Union and branched out with whom i played. I have recorded in Toronto and Buffalo and always enjoyed various styles of music, often thinking there’s something to learn from different styles and made a lot of friends along the way in each band. I was blessed to have played with a lot of top notch musicians from the area. I moved to Florida nine years ago and hooked up with a few bands that led me to being with "The Stragglers" ( Bobby Toon, Michael Coultas ). I feel this is the perfect band for myself right now, they are great musicians and friends. I am enjoying every minute.

Michael

Michael saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show and well He had to get a guitar.

I mowed yards for a long time to get that first guitar and learned to play from a Mel Bay Book. Playing in bands in highschool then on to the military and after that traveling the US with "Two For the Show Trio" a great little comedy troupe, Lots of fun and Yeah we even won the Gong Show. After leaving the "road" i hooked up with a band called "Quick Change," A great group of guys that i played with for 26 year, playing 100's of Clubs, County and State Fairs in 3 states, opening for dozens of Major artist. During the 80's i had some success in the country charcts with a sell pened song " Solitary Lover ". I played with a couple of 3 piece bands and started doing solos. I then moved to florida in February 2024 and began playing Solo jobs around the area. After Meeting Jerry and Bobby as he said "We were thrown together for a quick replacement job." Its been great fun playing with these two guys, both having a professional attitude, easy going and just dam fun to play music with and to call my Friends. Thanks Fellas.
